I haven't blogged as regularly as I usually do and I blame Natalie. She's damn cute but doesn't necessarily allow much extra time for sitting alone at my computer for leisure.

So what's been up with us lately? We've (straight up!) been enjoying this awesome Michigan summer spending as much time as possible soaking up the weather, hanging in our outdoor spaces around the house and planning things on nights and weekends with friends and family. I cannot believe it's already the end of July.

Natalie passed the 3 month mark last week and she's doing great. She's smiling on a regular basis, sleeping through the night and we are so, so close to her giggling that I've spend more time than necessary trying to tickle her into giggle success. Three months doesn't seem like a lot of time but it totally feels like we've had her forever. On a daily basis we do this weird dance of me getting impatient for her to wake up so we can play and then when she's awake, wondering when she'll go back to sleep so I can make a sandwich. Being a parent is weird. Weird, but also really awesome. I highly recommend it.

Last weekend Natalie and I headed north to Crystal Lake with our neighbors for a girls weekend which was a lot of fun. I'm sure I've mentioned this before but Natalie already has two hommies who live on our block who are within months of one another. The girls will all be in the same grade come school time at Wealthy Elementary.

Speaking of the Rosewood trio, the girls got their first taste of swimming last week - us moms signed them all up for the water introduction class at Wealthy Pool. Natalie went under the water and was a champ. We're hoping she'll be a solid swimmer someday but if she ends up wanting to be part of the swim team I think I'll cry... it's so hot in there!

Two weekends ago we attended the annual Rib Party hosted by the Scholtens. Ribs were awesome and as always it was fun to see a whole bunch of friends all in one place. Each year the crowd gets bigger and bigger - kids, man.

Jeff has been golfing a lot and playing his usual weekly softball games while I've been really taking advantage of the walkability of our neighborhood - money well spent on that stroller of ours. I also really appreciate our proximity to Funky Buddha and try and make Saturday morning hot yoga as often as I can. It makes me feel like a million bucks and I love it.

All in all, us Kladders are doing pretty darn great. We've got a couple fun things planned yet this summer and I promise to do better about posting with photos. Hoping your summer has been as relaxing and fun as ours. Happy sun bathing!
