Sledding this past Sunday at Wilcox Park.

So far, our new year has been filled with lots of work. And I am happy to report that other than spending an abnormal amount of time at our day jobs, all is well at the Kladder house. Just before Christmas, Jeff's company when through a change in staff and also acquired a couple new clients, which meant him spending a bit more time on the road and more early office hours.

Meanwhile, at Steelcase, I learned in December that many employees take the time over the holidays to relax and enjoy their families (talk about a wonderful company culture). Since everyone's return after the New Year, we're back up to speed, and then some, with our fiscal year end quickly approaching.

At home we've been coasting on crockpot meals and we'd be lost without the helping hand of our babysitter extraordinaire, Laura. Bless her a million times over.

Natalie Elyse, 9-months-old.

Natalie is just over 9-months now and is as close as it's gets to crawling, without actually crawling. She's hilarious to watch as she manages to still reach things that she wants by rolling and scooting. She excels at the dinner table, mashing all that's placed in front of her - I am left wishing we had a dog daily but on the bright side, my legs could use the extra squats.

We took her sledding for the first time last weekend and we agreed we really aren't sure if she liked it or not. There was no giggling or really even smiling as we slide down the hill, but there wasn't crying either. We're convinced she simply likes being outdoors and couldn't really care less about the reason why. I hope that's true, I can't wait to get our leaves raked for the low cost of 18 years of financial support and a lifetime of love.

The couple that insulates together, stays together!

The couple that insulates together, stays together!

We finished insulating our attic last weekend and it's ready for drywall. I'm eager to see the room with the walls finished and carpet on the floor. The plan right now is to make the space a playroom, but the urgency to insulate was more to save on our gas bill. The improvements we've made should make quite the difference.

And despite our busy work weeks, we've made time for the important things in life like binging Making a Murderer on Netflix, naps, and drinking hot cocoa. From our home to yours, I hope your year so far has been filled with happy moments and electric blankets. Keep warm, friends!
