It recently dawned on me that over the next 5 months I will be photographed more in my life than ever before. Hashtag wedding talk. So the arms, thighs, booty, and I had a little pow-wow. We talked it over and decided now’s as good a time as any for conquering that chin-up (without the jumping head start) we’ve been working on the last few months. Also, incline push-ups, reverse wall climbs, free weights, and anything else geared at toning my arms.

I just bought my dress and it is sleeveless after all. Spoiler alert… it’s white and long. For real though… it’s very simple, my style, and I can’t wait to show it to all of you this fall.

But getting to the gym has never been a problem for me, especially with Brad as a trainer. I enjoy working out and having Brad adds an extra incentive to being there everyday at noon. My trouble has always been in the kitchen… and the bar.

I like sweets and I like vodka - if I had a nickel for every time I blogged about sweets and vodka (shakes head). When a cookie is placed in front of me autopilot takes over- it puts the sugar in the mouth – which is exactly why I can’t keep sweets in the house. Jeff was appalled the first time he witnessed me sabotaging a carton of ice cream. I filled it with hot water in the sink and washed it down the drain. I knew that if we kept the extra in the freezer I’d devor it the next chance I got. In a moment of strength I killed the ice cream.

Instead of having to waste dollar bills on ‘killing’ my food, I’ve tried finding healthy alternatives to satisfy my sweet tooth. My most recent discovery (via Rabbit Food for my Bunny Teeth) is greek yogurt and jello pudding mix. Combine 1 container Chobani 0% Greek Yogurt with 1 box instant Jello (sugar free fat free) Cheesecake Pudding. Mix completely. Add pureed fruit as a topping. Vola!… cheesecake. The best part is greek yogurt is packed with protein, low on calories, and tastes great. Hint, it tastes even better after sitting (refrigerated) over night.

  • 1 16 ounce Chobani 0% Greek Yogurt
  • 1 package instant Jello Sugar Free Fat Free Cheesecake Pudding
  • ½ to 1 cup pureed fruit (raspberries, strawberries, etc.) if desired

Speaking of protein, I met with Lasandra, the nutritionist at MVP Metro – a free resource to memebers, last week and as it turns out I’m not eating enough of it. She recommended 100 grams per day. Fruit on the other hand, I’m eating way too much of.

“Fruit offers us a lot of important vitamins and tastes yummy, but they are full of sugar,” she told me. Apparently even too much natural sugar isn’t a good thing.

In short, if I’m not mistaken Project Skinny Jeans has become Project White Dress. I’m not mad about it. I like dresses way better than jeans. For the record I did purchase skinny jeans recently – H&M for $30. I’ve been wearing them regularly and find them surprisingly comfortable. I guess we can consider PSJ complete… PWD is just a new adventure.
