December has been good to us! We've spent the last few weeks soaking up the holiday spirit, celebrating with friends, and preparing for the family Christmas plans yet to come.

Earlier this month we celebrated with the gents of the Powdered Wigs Investment Club and their wonderful wives. This year the party was hosted at AK Rikks and dinner was provided by Osteria Rossa - so good! The venue was spectacularly decorated (as always) and ironically enough, the theme was 'ugly Christmas sweaters.' The bar tender made a mean cosmo (as mean as a cosmo can be) and the chef from Osteria Rossa mixed up tasting plates of fresh pasta.

On the 3rd the ladies of Rosewood hit up the annual Uptown Shop Hop - one of my favorite events of the season. The buses run for free between Eastown, Fulton Street, Cherry Hill, and Wealthy making stops in each neighborhood. This was my first year, however, living within walking distance of Eastown. Not having to deal with the traffic was a HUGE bonus.

Last weekend we were back at AK Rikks for their annual Santa Event. Complete with real reindeer and Christmas cookies, the event was a kiddo's dream. Natalie met the big guy for the first time and we joked that she asked for hair for Christmas - poor girl is lacking! My Mom joined for the event - she was a proud Grandma hanging out with her first grandchild.

And this past weekend we celebrated with our neighbors at (what we are hoping is) the first annual Progressive Dinner Party. With 4 stops we covered a cheese and cracker course, appetizers, dinner (short ribs, parsnips, salad) and desserts. Jeff and I were the last stop on the block and took care of desserts. I had wild aspirations to make a bunch of homemade desserts for all our friends, however, ain't nobody got time for that; I gave up and bought it all. We had a great time with the crew and we're already looking forward to the summer block party.

It's been a month of celebration and I swear I've already eaten 2 dozen Christmas cookies. If your house or office is anything like mine, sugar is everywhere! See you in the gym after the 1st of the year my friends! Enjoy the rest of your December everyone.
