Last weekend we attended friends Hannah and Ryan's wedding celebration hosted at the Downtown Market. Ever since Hannah told me they had selected the Market as their venue I've been excited to see the event space in action. Of all the times I've frequented the Market it's never been for a party. I'm glad to say that the space did not disappoint and to anyone who's wondering, it's a brilliant option for any event you are looking to host!
Two weeks ago the Market was also the location of Hannah's surprise bachelorette party. After jumping on a trolly, our group of 20 ladies arrived at the Market for a cooking class. We prepared apple crisp and rolled chocolate truffles while the staff provided appetizers and wine for purchase.
While the largest event space the Market has to offer doesn't provide for more than 100 people to be seated for a formal meal (this is an estimate because the Market doesn't list specific numbers on their website, along with rental costs), the openness and double entry doors to the hallway allow for strolling appetizers and easy bar service. Also, not having the room packed with tables made for ample dance floor space!
Hannah and Ryan also arranged to have a 'photo booth' which looked amazing against the green wall on the second floor. The group had fun kidding around with the props and taking group photos. Check out some of the photos below.
The space and event were beautiful, but the most beautiful scene in the room was witnessing the beginning of a lifetime of love Hannah and Ryan will share together. Wedding celebrations always leave me feeling extremely giddy. It takes me back to our wedding and how quickly the time has flown since. Weddings remind me that life is short. That it's important we soak up that extra time with friends, say yes to that second glass of wine, and not get too wrapped up in the little things.
Congrats to Hannah and Ryan! May you be blessed with a lifetime of love and joy.
